What does the initial consult entail?
The initial consultation entails an extensive history with particular attention to prenatal and neonatal issues, developmental milestones, present diagnosis, speech, language, attention, and any other neurological issues. Your consultation with Dr. Elliott will be approximately 45 to 60 minutes. An ATCNTS staff member will then review all topics and treatment plans suggested in the initial assessment of your child and work together with you in coordinating. To allow for a time-efficient and comprehensive evaluation, we ask that you bring the diagnosis, treatment, medications, supplemental and intervention history of your child.
Must my child be present at all visits?
No. However, we must see the child at the initial visit as part of the diagnostic process. We appreciate a photo of your child alone, or you with your child to place in the medical chart.
Does the center accept insurance?
No. However, we can give receipts to a family that wants to submit independently for any reimbursement.
Are payment plans available?
We offer a variety of payment methods and payment plans. Our staff can provide details upon request.
Is the facility wheelchair accessible?
Yes, we have wheelchair parking and handicapped accessible restroom and entryway options.
Are there limitations on the age of the patients you treat?
No, our Doctor works with all ages.
Do you offer supervision or provide a nursery while we meet with the Doctor?
No, all children are under the supervision of their guardian.
Can we tour the clinic without having a consult?
Yes, we encourage any family to tour our state-of-the-art facility and meet our staff.
What are your Doctor’s credentials?
Dr. Patrick Elliott has been working with and treating children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Developmental delay since 2004. A board-certified, general surgeon, Dr. Elliott’s interests and passion for helping children with Developmental Delay (DD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) began after his own twin boys were diagnosed with ASD at age three. The positive response to a combined biomedical and behavioral therapy approach experienced by his sons was the driving force that led to Dr. Elliott’s interest in helping other families maximize the potential of their children with ASD.
Can you accommodate out of state/town individuals?
Yes. We work with each individual family to try and meet their specific needs. We have a hotel that works with us and gives our traveling families a special discounted rate for their stay.
