The Autism Treatment Center of Newtown Square team was present at the TACA “Real Help Now Conference.” Staff members were able to meet and speak with families between seminars and distribute t-shirts and information about the center and its available therapies.

ATCNTS at Philadelphia WALK NOW for Autism Speaks 2011
Autism Treatment Center of Newtown Square team members were present at the second annual WALK NOW for Autism Speaks 2011, held September 24th at the Citizen Bank Park in Philadelphia, PA.
“We spent the Saturday morning greeting and meeting with families that came in from the one mile walk around Citizens bank park. We handed out our bright red, yellow, and blue ATC balloons to children along with our ATC coloring books. We had a great time! It was fun seeing all the different team walkers with the team t shirts. It was such a great turn out!” stated ATCNTS Clinic Coordinator, Bridget Mercer.

Walk Now for Autism Speaks 2011 Philadelphia
The Autism Treatment Center of Newtown Square will joining the 2nd annual WALK NOW FOR AUTISM SPEAKS, Saturday, September 24th at the Citizen Bank Park in Philadelphia, PA. Walk Now for Autism Speaks is a unique fundraising event that offers a safe and fun day for families impacted by autism. The day includes a one-mile Walk and Community Resource fair with educational sources, therapists, schools, recreational organizations, and creative child-friendly activities.
Last year’s Philadelphia Walk Now for Autism Speaks attracted more than 14,000 walkers and raised over $873,000.
Join the team from ATCNTS to walk for autism. Registration starts at 8 AM, and the walk starts at 10 AM.
TACA Pennsylvania Chapter to Hold Conference

Changing Paradigms in Evaluating Alternative Treatments for Autism Spectrum Disorders: From Cutting Edge to Over the Edge!
Autism Treatment Center and Hyperbaric Therapy USA of Newtown Square’s medical director, Dr. Patrick L. Elliott, will be presenting a lecture at Valley Forge Educational Services, entitled, “Changing Paradigms in Evaluating Alternative Treatments for Autism Spectrum Disorders: From Cutting Edge to Over the Edge!” on Tuesday, May 17, 2011 6:30pm-8:30pm.
Parents of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder encounter varied and broad information for alternative therapies. This lecture focuses on an objective, honest and fair assessment of several alternative interventions so parents can feel informed about different therapies and interventions. Participants will have the opportunity to receive answers to frequently asked questions about alternative therapies.

Over 150 area families visited the Autism Treatment Center of Newtown Square’s Grand Opening Event, “Family Fair Day,” on a beautiful spring Saturday this past weekend. Attendees were able to tour the facility, learn about therapies offered and speak first hand with medical director, Dr. Patrick L. Elliott and therapists while children participated in fun activities and munched on gluten free snacks and drinks.

ATCNTS at Variety Day at Sesame Place for Children with Autism
The Autism Treament Center of Newtown Square will be participating in Variety Day at Sesame Place for Children with Autism on April 22, 2011. The Variety Club of Philadelphia, in conjunction with Sesame Place, are sponsoring a day for children diagnosed with Autism and their families.
